Qatar: We Affirm Support for the Lebanese Army and State Institutions

Qatar's Prime Minister, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, received Army Commander General Joseph Aoun today, Monday, during his visit to Qatar. According to the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs, both parties reviewed the cooperative relations between the two countries and ways to support and develop them. The Qatari Prime Minister confirmed his country's support for the army and state institutions in Lebanon, stating that Qatar "continues to stand by its brotherly people." On the other hand, General Aoun expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the Prime Minister, and through him to the Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, for "the various Qatari initiatives aimed at supporting military personnel and enhancing the army's capabilities amid the delicate circumstances Lebanon is facing."
