Egyptian artist and cinematographer Galal Al-Zaki was involved in a serious car accident on Saturday after his vehicle overturned, leading to his hospitalization in extremely critical condition. Egyptian media reported that "the artist's car flipped while he was driving on the Wahat Road in the Sixth of October area, resulting in multiple injuries and a concussion."
It was added that he was transferred to Dar Al-Fouad Hospital in the Sixth of October, where he was admitted to the intensive care unit, with no further details about his condition disclosed while waiting for improvement and the initiation of investigations to uncover the circumstances of the accident.
Several of his colleagues urged the public to pray for him, including Egyptian singer Tamer Hosny, who confirmed that "his colleague's condition is extremely critical" and called on the audience to pray for him. Other fellow artists, including singer Rami Gamal, Amr Abdel Aziz, and Wael Abdel Aziz, also expressed their support and urged the public to pray for him to overcome this difficult health crisis and recover quickly.
Galal Al-Zaki appeared in the last Ramadan season through the series "Haq Arab" alongside artist Ahmed Al-Awady, and besides his work as a cinematographer in many artistic projects, he has also appeared as an actor in some roles.
