In a humanitarian gesture, artist Mustafa Shaaban gifted Olympic champion Naira Issam, who suffers from Down syndrome, an amount of 150,000 Saudi Riyals during his appearance with her on the show "Thanks a Million" broadcast on "Saudi" Channel. Shaaban confirmed in a press statement released after the episode that Naira is one of the inspiring figures who has impacted his life journey, explaining that he has learned from her the importance of strong will and facing challenges, as she, in his opinion, has a strong will and achieves her dreams despite her health condition.
For her part, Naira expressed her happiness over this humanitarian gesture, confirming that she shares a good relationship with artist Mustafa Shaaban. Naira Issam made her first appearance during the "Able to Differ" celebration held in 2019, where she performed in the presence of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi during the celebration of the "International Day of Persons with Disabilities," receiving considerable praise at that time.
On another note, Mustafa Shaaban is still facing a severe crisis with his series "The Teacher," which is currently airing during this Ramadan's drama competition, due to a fire that broke out at the main filming location, destroying all contents of the "Al-Ahram" studio. So far, the creators of the series have not devised a plan for how to complete filming the remaining episodes.
