Prime Minister Najib Mikati met with Minister of Interior and Municipalities Bassam Molawi at the Grand Serail to discuss the latest security developments in the country and the measures being implemented by the Ministry of Interior. Subsequently, the Prime Minister met with the Director General of State Security, Major General Tony Saliba, to be informed about the directorate's work and the security situation.
The Prime Minister also received the head of the "Political Movement for Dignity," MP Faisal Karami, leading a delegation from the movement, in the presence of former MP Marwan Abu Fadel. After the meeting, Karami stated, "We raised with Prime Minister Mikati the amendment of Article 51 of the Social Security Law and informed him about the draft law we are preparing titled 'The Fair Settlement for End of Service Compensation.' Prime Minister Mikati expressed his support for the project, after having been informed that President Nabih Berri also supports the project, as do the economic bodies and the General Labor Union. This project ensures justice for all employees in both the public and private sectors, as it seeks to address the grievances they have faced due to the financial and economic crisis."
