Makary: To Include the Archives of Lebanon Television and the Ministry of Information on the UNESCO List

The Minister of Information in the caretaker government, Ziad Makary, stated today, Tuesday, via the "X" platform: "The sixth conference on 'Libraries and Digital Preservation of Cultural Heritage' held at the ESCWA headquarters was an opportunity for me to showcase what we have as a preserved national treasure in the archives of Lebanon Television and the Ministry of Information." He added, "This precious heritage, which I prioritize digitizing to protect and make available to the public, is something we are working on in the ministry with international funding bodies and experts to include it on the UNESCO Memory of the World register. We are also committed to collaborating in all areas with international institutions, especially those with a regional aspect."
