Traveling with a pet dog can be exhausting on regular airlines. In this context, BARK Air has introduced itself as a solution for travelers looking to enjoy a smoother experience for both the dog and its owner. This American company describes itself as providing "the world's first air travel experience designed specifically for dogs," offering a premium experience akin to first-class travel for dogs and their owners who wish to fly. The company's first flight is scheduled to depart from the UK this month, initially connecting London with New York and New York with Los Angeles.
A seat on the flight from Stansted Airport in England to New York costs $8,000, equivalent to £6,300, for a one-way ticket, which includes space for one person and a dog along with luggage. When the first flight departs on May 28th, the airline promises an entirely different experience compared to other companies with specialized dog offerings, such as the private jet company K9 Jets. Dogs will have the freedom to roam around the entire aircraft, be provided with toys and special meals, as well as access to a play area resembling a dog park.
