Smiling Sharks in Pictures!

Unlike the terrifying images often shared of sharks with their dead black eyes and teeth that seem capable of crushing anything at any moment, photographer Eric Melander managed to capture fascinating shots that show sharks in an unusual light. Eric used his GoPro camera to take stunning close-up photos of great white sharks near Santa Cruz. The images surprised many as some curious sharks appeared to be smiling at the camera. Eric, a marine wildlife photographer, filmed over 20 juvenile great white sharks swimming near New Brighton State Beach, according to Fox News 26. Eric was assisting scientists in tracking the living organisms in the Monterey Bay Aquarium off the central coast of California.
