Theft of Safe Containing Money and Jewelry: Information Division Apprehends Suspects

The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division issued the following statement: "On November 19, 2023, citizen (A.F., born in 1996, Lebanese) from the town of Kfar Tebnit - Nabatieh reported that an unknown individual had stolen a safe from inside his home by breaking and entering, containing approximately $7,000 and gold jewelry valued at $30,000. Immediately, the specialized units of the Internal Security Forces began investigations to uncover the identity of the perpetrators. Through ongoing inquiries, the Information Division managed to identify the individuals involved in the theft, including: A.S. (born in 1981, Lebanese), M.S. (born in 1985, Syrian), and M.B. (born in 1999, Syrian).

On November 29 and 30, 2023, after careful monitoring, patrols from the division were able to arrest the first in the town of Nabatieh Al-Fawqa, the second in Kfar Tebnit, and the third in the town of Aidmoun. During the investigation, they confessed to their involvement in the theft, revealing that the first had prior knowledge of the safe's existence and its contents and had planned the theft, conducting surveillance and informing the second about the operation. The third arranged for two individuals of Syrian nationality to enter the house and carry out the theft under the supervision of the aforementioned individuals, and they shared the money among themselves. The legal measures required were taken against them, and they were handed over to the appropriate authority based on judicial directives, with efforts ongoing to apprehend the remaining perpetrators."
