Sidon Municipality: We Will Continue to Bear the Burden of Waste Collection and Removal

Sidon Municipality stated in a release that "City Blue suddenly stopped collecting and removing waste yesterday and withdrew its containers from several neighborhoods and streets in the city. We, at Sidon Municipality, have directed the municipal emergency teams to immediately commence the task of collecting and transporting waste from early this morning, with the help of the people and support from the Solidarity Fund, until the new company takes over, with whom we have begun coordinating to determine when it will start collecting and removing waste." It added, "Until this is accomplished soon, the municipality teams will carry out this task and cleaning work as they have borne this burden previously for a long time." The municipality requested residents to "assist in facilitating the work of its teams by committing not to throw waste outside of the containers, and starting tomorrow, the municipality will deploy new waste containers in the streets and neighborhoods of the city."
