In light of its forces withdrawing from the city of Khan Younis in the Gaza Strip, Hebrew media revealed that the Israeli army is preparing for an operation in the Palestinian city of Rafah, adjacent to the Egyptian border. According to the Israeli news channel i24NEWS, the Israeli Ministry of Defense announced on Sunday evening a tender to purchase tens of thousands of tents for refugees in Rafah. The Israeli Channel 13 reported that around 40,000 tents are expected to be purchased, each accommodating 12 people. These tents will be delivered to international organizations in Gaza to set up a massive tent city for refugees from Rafah heading towards northern Gaza. The Israeli army aims to begin maneuvering in Rafah within a week while evacuating the residents. The Israeli army is preparing for an operation involving multiple military units, but it will only start in a few weeks, as several significant events are on the horizon, foremost being the ongoing efforts to reach a prisoner exchange deal. The channel added that "there are coordination efforts for the operation in Rafah, with the United States and Egypt, involving the evacuation of about one million Palestinians from the area."
