Confusion in Egypt: Groom Kisses Bride's Feet at Wedding!

Typically, it's customary for the groom to kiss the bride's hand at weddings, but an Egyptian groom shocking attendees by kissing his bride's feet has stirred confusion in Egypt. In a peculiar incident that sparked a buzz on social media, a groom in his fifties kissed the feet of his Syrian bride (40 years old) after placing her wedding ring on her feet instead of her hands during their wedding ceremony yesterday, leaving guests astonished.

In statements to "Al-Arabiya Net," the groom, named Mahmoud Abdel Nabi, revealed that he was looking for a woman who values him and actually asked him for marriage, which is exactly what "Suzan" did by proposing to him. He responded by saying that he would throw a wedding celebration "that would astonish everyone."

The groom clarified that he did not perform this act to become the talk of the town or to trend on social media; he did it because he truly loves her and believes she deserves more, as she asked for his hand in marriage and honored him. He felt it was necessary to give her more than she expected, even if it seemed strange to some or subject him to criticism.

For her part, the bride expressed that she loved her groom's honesty, nobility, and security. She recounted a moment that showcased his gallantry when she was going through a significant crisis, and he supported her by saying, "Your brother's house is open to you and your children, and I will leave the house for you."

The videographer, Karim Majed, mentioned that he found the groom's act eye-catching and unusual in society, which is why he decided to document that moment.
