The head of the "Arab Unification Movement," Wiam Wahab, stated after his meeting with the head of the "Free Patriotic Movement," MP Gibran Bassil, that "it is natural to stand with the resistance in the confrontation with Israel and condemn the expanding Israeli aggressions." He added, "We discussed what is happening in the government regarding appointments and violations, and we must be cautious and take into account the Christian side and the ongoing infringement, as the current situation will lead to many problems, and this is something that both allies and opponents should be aware of." Regarding the customs officers' issue, he said, "They should be appointed, but there are fundamental matters that must be considered; if what happened to another sect had occurred, no one would have dared to act in this manner." He concluded by noting that "in the presidential file, we need to take advantage of any truce to elect a president and revive some state institutions to return to work."
