The Joint Operations Command in Iraq announced today, Thursday, that Iraqi F-16 aircraft targeted terrorist hideouts in Wadi al-Shay, Kirkuk Province. The command stated in a statement that "with accurate information from the Military Intelligence Directorate and under the supervision of the Joint Operations Command, and with high-level intelligence competency, the security operation against terrorism continues, targeting its hideouts, elements, and safe havens. The F-16s successfully carried out direct strikes on terrorist hideouts in Wadi al-Shay, Kirkuk operations sector, achieving direct hits on the terrorist strongholds and their defeated elements." It added that "our brave forces will remain on high alert to target the enemy and its collapsing strongholds and defeated elements everywhere."
