Karami on the Anniversary of Rashid Karami's Assassination: Lebanon is Not Preserved Without Dialogue

The head of the "Dignity" movement, MP Faisal Karami, pointed out on the anniversary of the assassination of former Prime Minister Rashid Karami that "we have not forgiven nor forgotten, and we are seekers of justice," noting that "the innocence of those seeking innocence lies in the judiciary." He added, "Your blood remains on our necks, and the one killed for the unity of Lebanon is stronger than the killer who seeks to divide the country."

He emphasized that "the collapse of the state and institutions in our country is real, and after 37 years since the martyrdom of Rashid, we can only realize how much we need the approach and school of Rashid Karami, who was and remains a symbol of the state." He clarified, "We have proven that land, freedom, dignity, and rights are all bought with blood, and we are the purchasers; the blood will not be wasted, neither the blood of Palestinians nor the blood of Lebanese nor the blood of Rashid."

Karami explained that "Lebanon is not preserved without dialogue, and there is no salvation for us except through dialogue," expressing his surprise at those who resist and refuse to engage in urgent and comprehensive dialogue.
