The Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, announced, "We are in the days of the Resistance and Liberation holiday, and this painful incident has occurred, thus we have entered a state of mourning and loss. Therefore, we decided not to hold celebrations as is usually the case, because their nature is one of joy while we are in a time of sorrow and grief."
During the commemorative event for the Iranian martyrs, he expressed his condolences over the passing of the learned scholar Sheikh Ali Korani, stating, "We need a role model because without a role model, what we believe in remains just ideas and ink on paper."
He noted that "the martyr Raisi was dedicated to his country, having no vacation, obedient to his leader, a jurist, a scholar, a jurist, a believer, humble, and very courageous in facing hypocrites and enemies, and a believer in the resistance and its project. When Raisi took over the responsibility of the Razavi shrine, he made a significant transformation in management and the development of the shrine and the valuable services that the needy and poor benefited from."
Nasrallah emphasized that "we must view martyr Raisi as a role model in all the positions he held." He added, "Since the victory of the Islamic Revolution in 1979, Iran has faced economic blockades and sanctions that have been increasing day by day, along with the imposed global war and internal assassinations."
He stated that "when any president of the Republic of Iran takes on responsibility, he will find very substantial files in front of him, including economic, living conditions, foreign exchange, inflation, and foreign policy, which are all results of the sanctions and blockade."
Nasrallah mentioned the late Iranian Foreign Minister Hussein Amir Abdollahian, saying, "He had a deep love for Lebanon, Palestine, and the resistance movements; this is a trait of his character." He clarified, "We have seen nothing but goodness, assistance, support, love, and embrace from the martyrs Raisi and Abdollahian, and we are very thankful for that."
