Egypt Announces Humanitarian Aid Drop to Gaza in Collaboration with UAE and Jordan

The military spokesman for the Egyptian armed forces, Gharib Abdel Hafiz, announced that "Egypt, Jordan, and the UAE have conducted a mission to drop tons of humanitarian aid over the Gaza Strip." The spokesman stated in a press release: "Continuing the tireless efforts made by the Egyptian state in support of the dear Palestinian people, and in cooperation with all parties and international powers to defuse the current crisis and achieve a comprehensive ceasefire within the Gaza Strip to end the severe humanitarian tragedy faced by Palestinian citizens in Gaza, the Egyptian Air Force has intensified its daily flights in collaboration with its counterparts from the sisterly United Arab Emirates to carry out air drops of tens of tons of food aid and emergency relief materials in northern Gaza."

He added: "This is in conjunction with conducting several air missions in cooperation with friendly and allied countries participating in the international coalition, such as the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and continuing air drop operations of humanitarian aid to the affected areas in the northern sector." He pointed out that this comes "in connection with Egypt's efforts and endeavors at all levels to remind the international community of its responsibilities towards delivering sufficient and sustainable humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip and working to stop the war and prevent the escalation of conflict in the region."
