Raisi Calls for U.S. Troops to Leave the Region

Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi praised his country's military and its significant capabilities that make it superior to other armies in the region. He stated that "the presence of Iranian forces ensures security across the entire region, while the presence of foreign troops threatens this security," urging "U.S. forces to leave the region as soon as possible, as it serves their own interests and the interests of the region as well. There is no need for any international forces."

In a speech he delivered during the Iranian Armed Forces parade on Army Day, Raisi said, "The Iranian army is a strong barrier against terrorism, extremist groups, and criminals, and it stands against opposition groups, defending the country's borders from any external threats and has made Iranian airspace the safest in the region."

He added, "While some international armies import their equipment and technology from other countries, our army possesses the best modern Iranian equipment and technology, equipped with its own resources based on modern knowledge and local capabilities."

Raisi emphasized that "the Iranian army is a supportive element for the security of the homeland and its citizens, and it always stands alongside the people during any emergency. The Iranian army carries a message of peace and friendship to the countries of the region, and Iran welcomes any efforts to maintain security and stability in the region and neighboring countries. However, any external threats that endanger Iran's security, specifically from Israel, will be met with a decisive response that will result in the destruction of Haifa and Tel Aviv."
