The Army Command - Directorate of Guidance reported that "following the recent incidents in the northern region, units of the military, supported by patrols from the Directorate of Intelligence, implemented security measures in the area on 20/3/2024. These measures included deploying foot and mechanized patrols, setting up temporary checkpoints, and conducting raids on the homes of wanted individuals. As a result of these measures, 10 wanted persons were arrested, including 9 Lebanese and 1 Palestinian, for committing crimes related to gunfire, disturbing public order, and causing disturbances. Additionally, 11 Lebanese and 1 Palestinian were arrested for possession of weapons and drugs, as well as for being without legal documentation. Military weapons, a quantity of drugs, and ammunition were seized. The seized items were handed over, and an investigation has begun with the detainees under the supervision of the competent judiciary."
