Osama Hamdan, a leader in the Hamas movement, denied today that the movement has proposed new ideas in the U.S.-backed proposal for a ceasefire in Gaza. He also mentioned during an interview with Al-Arabi television that "U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken is part of the problem, not part of the solution in the Gaza conflict." Blinken had previously stated that Hamas had suggested implementing a number of changes to the ceasefire proposal in Gaza, some of which are not feasible, but he noted that mediators remain determined to bridge the gaps.
