Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev noted today that "those who consider the United States their enemy are friends of Russia," in response to President Vladimir Putin's statements regarding supplying weapons to third countries against the West. Medvedev stated, "Yesterday, a significant change occurred in Russian foreign policy following President Putin's statement, which did not rule out the possibility of sending Russian weapons to third countries at war with those supplying weapons to Ukraine, or rather, using those weapons against our country."
According to Medvedev, the logic of the West suggests that it has the right to transfer any weapons to Ukraine (Russia's enemy), while other countries cannot assist Russia. He said, "Let the United States and its allies now feel the direct use of Russian weapons by third parties."
The Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council clarified that "the individuals and regions have not been named deliberately," but they could be anyone who considers the United States and its allies their enemies, irrespective of political beliefs and international recognition. He stated, "If their enemy is the United States, then this means they are our friends."
Medvedev emphasized that "the use of Russian weapons by these parties will be devastating for their interests and ours. Let the sensitive targets of the countries supplying arms to Kyiv burn."
