The Beirut Port Authority issued the following statement today, Friday: "In reference to the information circulating in the media regarding complaints about the proliferation of flies and odors in the vicinity of the port, due to cattle and sheep ships remaining unloaded for days, the port management wishes to clarify that it bears no responsibility for this matter, and that the direct responsibility lies with the relevant ministries (Agriculture and Health) in granting unloading permits."
