A strange scene occurred in the city of Yasuj, western Iran, where videos went viral showing fish falling from the sky in a phenomenon colloquially known as "fish rain." The video depicted dozens of fish dropping onto a busy road within the city. This phenomenon happens when fish are carried from the sea to land, often due to tornadoes, in areas with significant contrasts in humidity and temperature.
It's worth mentioning that scientists are not entirely sure why this phenomenon occurs now or in the past, but they believe it results from storms or strong air currents that can lift water, along with fish from large water bodies, and transport them several kilometers before they fall back to the ground.
