A judge in Madrid, investigating "potential irregularities" in specific contracts related to the Spanish Football Federation, has agreed to investigate Gerard Piqué, the Barcelona legend. Piqué will be investigated to determine his involvement in an annual commission of 4 million euros with the Spanish Federation concerning the contract that transferred the Super Cup from Spain to Saudi Arabia. Judge Delia Rodrigo issued a ruling today, Thursday, agreeing to expand the investigation to 15 individuals, including Gerard Piqué, Pedro Rocha, the president of the Spanish Federation, and businessman Francisco Javier Alcaide, a close friend of former federation president Luis Rubiales.
