In a unique incident, the mayor of a Jordanian municipality fulfilled the wish of an employee who worked within the municipality by driving the vehicle that carried his coffin to his final resting place, stopping by a mosque for prayers before proceeding to the cemetery. The mayor of the "Tabaqat Fahl" area in northwestern Jordan, Khatib Al-Ghazawi, carried out the wishes of the late Jordanian employee Adnan Al-Riyahna, who was known for his dedication to work. The mayor drove the vehicle in accordance with proper customs.
The municipality stated: "Employee Adnan Al-Riyahna worked diligently and faithfully within the municipal staff for many years, and in a humane gesture expressing his deep appreciation for the efforts of the late employee, the mayor did not hesitate to fulfill this desire."
The municipality emphasized the importance of honoring individuals who contribute to serving the community, expressing Mayor Khatib Al-Ghazawi's strong commitment to meeting the late employee's wishes in recognition of the efforts he made throughout his career, and underscoring the importance of human relationships and caring for individuals who work for the common good, ensuring their desires are met even after their passing.
