Following the incident involving player Karim Azeddine, the administrative committee of Al-Hikma Sports Club Beirut expressed its regret over what occurred on the field during the match between Al-Hikma and Beirut Club. They emphasized the importance of maintaining sportsmanship among players and the necessity of respecting laws and ethical values.
The committee strongly condemned the altercation that took place after the match outside the field, as well as the personal attacks directed at players, administrators, and technical staff of Beirut Club, which are unrelated to sports or the esteemed history of Al-Hikma. They described the behavior as emanating from a handful of individuals outside the fan base whose primary goal is to harm the club, tarnish its image, and destabilize its relationships with friendly clubs.
The committee hopes that these actions are isolated, unorganized, or instigated and supports the Lebanese Basketball Federation in all measures it takes regarding this matter.
