The Iraqi team won two medals today, Thursday, in the 110m hurdles event at the ongoing West Asia Championship in Basra. According to a reporter from the Iraqi News Agency (INA), "Our players, Saleh Kazem and Mohamed Najah, won silver and bronze medals in the 110m hurdles after fierce competition with Iranian and Qatari athletes." Additionally, it was noted that "the Iranian player Masoud Kamiran finished first with a time of 13.75 seconds, while our player Saleh Kazem came in second with a time of 13.83 seconds, and Mohamed Najah finished third with a time of 14.31 seconds," further indicating that "Iraq's total medal count has reached 10."
