The movement called in a statement for mediators to intervene "to put an end to Netanyahu's maneuvers and crimes." Hamas warned that the current Israeli escalation in Gaza could bring negotiations back to square one. It stated that the head of its political bureau, Ismail Haniya, made urgent communications with the mediators, warning of the catastrophic consequences of what is happening in Gaza.
