The Public Prosecution in Egypt has revealed new details regarding the fire at "Ahram Studio," confirming that it has formed three committees to investigate the circumstances of the incident. In a statement, the Public Prosecution indicated that it had monitored a "massive fire at Ahram Studio" in the jurisdiction of the Al-Omraneya Police Station early last Saturday. A team of investigators immediately visited the scene and found a piece of land surrounded by burnt trees and palms, where three buildings had been mostly destroyed. The investigation revealed that the fire had spread to ten neighboring properties, consisting of forty-six residential units, nineteen of which were completely burned, while the rest suffered partial burns.

The Public Prosecution noted that it interviewed the security personnel assigned to protect the studio and several site workers, who stated that "the fire broke out in one of the wooden buildings of the studio and quickly spread to the rest of the premises and its surroundings." They also visited the Heliopolis Hospital and inquired with nine of the injured victims.

The Public Prosecution confirmed its decision to appoint several forensic experts from the Ministry of Interior to examine the site and collect evidence to determine the cause of the fire, "identify the beginning and end points of the fire and its spread, and assess any criminal suspicion."

The Public Prosecution ordered the formation of three committees: the first from the National Center for Housing and Building Research, the Faculty of Engineering at Cairo University, and the Engineering Administration of Giza Governorate to "examine the accident site and assess the damage to it and the neighboring buildings, as well as take all necessary measures to protect lives."

The second committee is from the Agricultural Directorate of the same governorate to "examine the palms and trees in the location of the incident, assess any damage done to them, and determine whether their presence poses a risk to lives and property."

The third committee has been formed from the Civil Protection Sector to "assess the availability of fire hazard prevention measures prior to the fire and their compliance with regular maintenance requirements."

The Public Prosecution mentioned that it has tasked the police with "listing the victims affected by the incident and has requested their investigation reports regarding the incident. Investigations are ongoing and those injured are being questioned," according to the statement.
