Sources connected to the quintet committee expect significant divergences to emerge among countries regarding their approach to the presidential file in Lebanon. While Qatar has not presented any initiative to the Lebanese delegations that recently visited and spoke about a "third option," Saudi Arabia appears to be cautious regarding Doha's actions, particularly since it does not encourage any Lebanese parties to manipulate the constitution and its fundamental framework: the "Taif Agreement." From this perspective, the sources indicate that Saudi Arabia has indirectly expressed its discontent with the method of summoning Lebanese forces for individual consultations in Doha, believing that the Lebanese themselves should manage their disagreements and differences concerning the presidency. The role of the quintet committee is to bridge the gaps and define the specifications without undermining the Lebanese role.
