Syrian Drug Dealer in Qobbeh Arrested by Security Forces

The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division issued the following statement: "As a result of the daily monitoring carried out by the specialized units of the Internal Security Forces to limit drug trafficking operations in various Lebanese areas, information was obtained by the Information Branch regarding an unknown individual promoting drugs in northern regions. Consequently, the specialized units began their field and investigative measures, and as a result of investigations, they were able to identify him as: A. H. (born in 1968, Syrian). On February 24, 2024, after careful observation and monitoring, one of the patrols from the branch managed to arrest him in the Qobbeh area of Tripoli while he was riding a black '150V' motorcycle, which was seized. Upon searching him and the motorcycle, eight nylon bags containing heroin were found, along with various amounts of cash and two mobile phones. During the investigation, he confessed to the allegations concerning his role in drug distribution to several clients from the motorcycle. The motorcycle was legally seized, and legal procedures were taken against him, and he was referred along with the seized items to the relevant authority, based on the directives of the competent judiciary."
