Minister of Culture in the caretaker government, Mohamed Wissam Al-Murtada, wrote via "X": "For those in the international community who did not understand what was decided in today's session, take note of the most important points:
1- Today, your tools, namely the 'non-governmental organizations,' were warned that Lebanon has reached its limit with them and will not accept to remain an open ground for them. They must adhere to coordination and oversight, otherwise, their permits will be revoked and they will be dissolved. May God hasten their news.
2- Today, also based on the principle that 'where there is a soul, there is life,' we told you clearly: if you wish to permanently settle the displaced in Lebanon, take this as a surprise: we are unable to control the flow of displacement through Lebanese territorial waters towards Europe. Therefore, bear the responsibility and take the necessary measures to encourage the displaced to return to their countries and assist them in stabilizing in their lands. In plain Arabic, if you do not abandon your plan to settle the displaced in Lebanon, then the sea will be open for them to move towards you. At that point, bear the consequences of your actions and swallow your own poison. Meanwhile, Fairouz will sing with us for the sea: 'Heila, oh vast one' and will continue for the displaced 'Your boat is sailing.' Go on, and may God's watchful eye protect you."
