Protests demanding an end to the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip took place in several European cities. Demonstrations occurred in the British capital London, as well as in Berlin and Stuttgart in Germany, and Utrecht in the Netherlands. Protesters carried Palestinian flags and banners condemning the killing and starvation of civilians in Gaza, calling for a cessation of arms supplies to Israel. London was once again standing up for Gaza in a major demonstration coinciding with the Labour Party coming to power and the formation of the new British government.
