The General Directorate for Drug Affairs in Iraq announced today, Friday, the dismantling of a network holding over two million drug pills in a special operation across four provinces. The directorate stated in a release that it "engaged with a network involved in drug trafficking after its members attempted to smuggle a drug shipment, leading to the dismantling of the network and the seizure of two and a half million Captagon pills." It added that "this occurred during a preemptive special operation that extended from Basra to Najaf, then to Anbar, and concluded in Nineveh."
