Israeli media reported that forces from "Unit 33" of the police killed two members of "Islamic Jihad" in Qalqilya in the West Bank, who were in a car and planned to carry out an attack. Medical sources, according to the "Ma'an" agency, confirmed that two young men were killed as a result of gunfire. The sources indicated that members of the special forces infiltrated the city and surprised the car occupants with a barrage of bullets, resulting in several injuries. The Israeli army confiscated the vehicle and withdrew it toward the crossing after executing the assassination. Israeli forces immediately deployed military reinforcements to the city through its eastern entrance. An Israeli army spokesperson announced that the forces, led by the "Gideonim" unit of the police, assassinated two "wanted" individuals in the city of Qalqilya.
