Jaja after Meeting with Le Drian: We Will Not Accept Granting Berri Powers Not Rightfully His

Lebanese Forces Party leader Samir Jaja stated that "the axis of resistance wants to know the identity of the president before the election session, which is out of the question, and they did not accept the third option while we have shown all readiness." He emphasized, after meeting with French envoy Jean-Yves Le Drian, that "we will not accept granting Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri powers that are not rightfully his, and that every entitlement should not pass through him by default. We are the first defenders of the powers of the second presidency as permitted by the constitution."
