Clinton: I Lost the Election to Trump Because of

Former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton stated that she lost the 2016 presidential election to Donald Trump because female voters abandoned her for not being "perfect," according to the British site "Daily Mail." In her new book titled "The Fall of Roe: The Rise of a New America," Clinton explained that it was women who refused to support her after then-FBI Director James Comey reopened the investigation into her emails days before the election.

Clinton said, "Once that was done, the people who left me were women." She added that women were willing to take a risk with Trump because he was a man, and they could imagine a man as president and commander-in-chief. The former U.S. Secretary of State expressed her frustration with female voters for not understanding the threat posed to the "Roe v. Wade" case. She was particularly angry with advisors who urged her to stop saying that abortion should be "safe, legal, and rare," a suggestion she described as "stupid."

Clinton also criticized Senate Democrats for not taking the threat from conservative judges appointed by Trump seriously, claiming they allowed them to lie during confirmation hearings that "Roe v. Wade" was a settled precedent.

On another note, Clinton warned that the United States may not see another election if Trump returns to power. She pointed out that these elections are existential, and if the American people do not make the right decision in this election, we may not witness real elections again, and the country could be ruled by a small minority of well-organized and well-funded right-wing forces.
