Qatari Foreign Ministry: Any Attack on Rafah Will Negatively Impact Reaching an Agreement

The spokesperson for the Qatari Foreign Ministry, Majid Al-Ansari, indicated that "the Doha talks focus on humanitarian aid and achieving a temporary ceasefire," stressing that "any operation in Rafah will lead to a humanitarian disaster and will negatively impact the course of the talks." Al-Ansari emphasized that "any attack on Rafah will adversely affect reaching an agreement, and it is still too early to speak of any breakthrough in the negotiations, but we are optimistic about that."

He announced that "the twentieth batch of Palestinian casualties from the war in Gaza has arrived in Doha for treatment, and yesterday's meeting was to convey responses between the parties, including the Israeli response to Hamas." He mentioned that "negotiations are ongoing, and we are cautiously optimistic, with technical teams meeting to discuss some details, and negotiations regarding a prisoner exchange have resumed in all its tracks in Doha."

He added, "We are working with our regional and international partners to ensure the entry of aid into the Gaza Strip," considering that "there is no explanation for the assault on journalists at the Shifa complex other than an attempt to cover up the crimes."
