Switzerland: 3 Dead in Scaffold Collapse at 19-Story Building

The authorities of the Swiss canton of Vaud announced in a statement on Friday that "three people have died and others have been seriously injured after a scaffold collapsed outside a 19-story building." The three deceased were workers at the construction site of the building near the city of Lausanne in the French-speaking canton. The statement noted that over 180 emergency workers, including dozens of firefighters, are working to secure the site from any further falls.
