Pouria Zareati, a presenter on "Iran International," was attacked today, Friday, while leaving his home in London by unknown assailants who stabbed him multiple times. His condition is currently stable in the hospital, and British police are investigating the attack. Zareati joined "Iran International" in 2022 and hosts a weekly program titled "The Last Word," which analyzes the latest political developments.

Security threats against "Iran International," its presenters, and correspondents have escalated, especially following the coverage of protests after the death of Mahsa Amini, reaching a level of "terroristic threats." British channel "ITV" reported earlier that "spies from Iran's Revolutionary Guard offered a human trafficker in October 2022 $200,000 to kill Iran International presenter Ferdad Farahzad and former presenter Sima Thabet, but the hired person revealed the plot as he was a double agent."

According to ITV, a bomb was supposed to explode outside "Iran International's" office in London last fall, but this plan was changed due to the security forces' presence around the channel's building, leading to a plan to assassinate Farahzad and Thabet instead. British Foreign Secretary David Cameron stated that "the Iranian regime and the criminal gangs working for it represent an unacceptable threat."

"Iran International" was forced to temporarily move its broadcasts from London to Washington on February 18 of last year due to terrorist threats. The channel resumed broadcasting from its new studio in London on September 25 of last year.
