Violent Clashes Between the Sudanese Army and

Intense clashes with various light and heavy weapons occurred today, Friday, between the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces east of the Halfaya Bridge, connecting Omdurman and Khartoum North in Khartoum State. The "Resistance Committees of Karri in Omdurman" reported via Facebook that the Rapid Support Forces are carrying out heavy artillery bombardments on some neighborhoods in Omdurman. On Thursday, witnesses indicated that fierce battles took place between the two sides around the Signals Corps headquarters in Khartoum North. Witnesses noted that the Rapid Support Forces launched a large attack on the Signals Corps from three fronts, while the army conducted intense artillery strikes from its positions in the Wadi Seedna military area in northern Omdurman targeting the positions and gatherings of the Rapid Support Forces in Khartoum North.
