The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division announced in a statement that "as part of the continuous monitoring conducted by the Internal Security Forces units to combat drug trafficking and promotion in various Lebanese regions, information was received about an unknown person promoting drugs between Al-Laylaki and Al-Mraijjeh areas. Consequently, the specialized units of the Information Division intensified their field and intelligence efforts to uncover the identity of the mentioned dealer and arrest him. As a result of investigations and inquiries, his identity was determined as: A. K. (born in 2005, Lebanese).
On 04-03-2024, after careful observation and surveillance, one of the Division's patrols managed to arrest him in the Mraijjeh area, riding a black "Sued" motorcycle that was seized. Upon searching him and the motorcycle, a quantity of drugs was found inside the seat, consisting of:
- 26 bags containing hashish
- 13 bags containing marijuana
- 42 plastic containers containing cocaine
- 8 packets containing base
- 50 counterfeit US dollars, a rolling paper notebook, and some cash.
During the interrogation, he confessed to the charges related to his drug promotion activities to several clients between Al-Laylaki and Al-Mraijjeh on behalf of a drug dealer. Legal measures were taken against him, and he was handed over to the relevant authority along with the seized items, based on the instruction of the competent judiciary."
