Video: Plane "Frozen in Place" at Munich Airport "Paralyzed"

Video: Plane

A video showed a plane "frozen" at Munich Airport in southern Germany due to heavy snowfall in the area. In the footage, the plane appears to be stuck in the snow and "adhered to the ground," with its nose raised upwards. The heavy snowfall in Bavaria has paralyzed operations, especially in Munich, the capital of the state, where flight and rail services were disrupted on Saturday.

Munich Airport announced the suspension of flights due to the ongoing snowfall, and a spokesperson confirmed that hundreds of flights were affected. The weather service reported that over 40 centimeters of snow fell in Munich overnight on Friday, urging residents to stay at home for their safety.

The city police specifically advised to "avoid unnecessary travel and only use cars in extreme necessity" due to "exceptionally heavy snowfall." The weather conditions also severely disrupted train services, with the railway company Deutsche Bahn stating that "Munich Central Station is currently unable to operate." In other parts of southern Germany, train services are also expected to be canceled or delayed, as warned by Deutsche Bahn, noting that the disruptions may continue.
