Bangladesh ordered on Thursday the suspension of mobile internet service across the country, as reported by the Deputy Minister of Communications, Zunaid Ahmed Palak, following student protests in which at least nine people were killed. Palak stated, "Yes, we did that," indicating that it was necessary "to ensure the safety of citizens."
