Saudi Foreign Minister: We Remain Optimistic About the Stability and Security of the Region

Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan confirmed in statements to "Al Arabiya/Al Hadath" that the Kingdom is more optimistic about the stability and security of the countries in the region. Prince Faisal bin Farhan also stated that the Kingdom's vision promotes development, reconstruction, and stability in the region, rather than disturbances. He also indicated that discussions are taking shape in the halls of the European Union regarding recognition of the State of Palestine, describing this as a very positive development.

These remarks from the Foreign Minister came during his participation in the opening of a high-level forum on security and regional cooperation between the Gulf Cooperation Council countries and the European Union, held in the Duchy of Luxembourg. The meeting addressed enhancing security and strategic cooperation between Gulf countries and the European Union, in addition to discussing intensifying joint diplomatic efforts to achieve peace, security, and sustainable development. The forum also touched on developments in the Gaza Strip and its surroundings, emphasizing the importance of achieving an immediate ceasefire, delivering more humanitarian and relief assistance to the Palestinian people, and resuming the peace process to implement the two-state solution and achieve stability and security in the region.
