Arab League Condemns Terrorist Attack in Mogadishu

The General Secretariat of the Arab League strongly condemned "the criminal attack targeting a crowded café in the Somali capital, Mogadishu, resulting in dozens of casualties and injuries." The League denounced, in a statement, "this cowardly act aimed at undermining the federal government and instilling fear in the hearts of civilians." It expressed "sincere condolences to the government and people of Somalia and the families of the victims," wishing a speedy recovery to the injured. The Arab League confirmed its ongoing solidarity with the Federal Republic of Somalia, both government and people, in combating all that threatens its security and stability, and in efforts to undermine the progress made in combating terrorism and restoring security.
