Today, Wednesday, the caretaker Prime Minister, Najib Mikati, issued an administrative memo to close public administrations, public institutions, and municipalities on the occasion of the Islamic New Year, which falls on 8/7/2024. The text of the memo states: "Based on Decree 15215 dated 27/5/2005 and its amendments, which specifies holidays and official occasions, and due to the coincidence of the Islamic New Year with a holiday in public administrations, all public administrations, institutions, and municipalities will be closed on Monday, 8/7/2024."
