Two Dead and 9 Injured in Traffic Accident on Jran Batroun Road

Two people were killed and 9 others were injured when a pickup truck collided with an iron electricity pole in the town of Jran Batroun. The deceased and the injured, who were from the town of Ain Dhahab in the Akkar region, were headed to the highlands of the Batroun area to pick sage. It was reported that the driver fell asleep and lost control of the vehicle, crashing into the pole. Lebanese Red Cross and Civil Defense units arrived at the scene, where the deceased and the injured were transported to hospitals in Jbeil and Batroun. Army and security forces also arrived to investigate the incident.
