The Commander of the Iraqi Ground Forces, Lieutenant General Qasim Muhammad Saleh Al-Muhammadi, arrived today, Sunday, in the Salah al-Din operations sector. A statement from the Ministry of Defense mentioned that "Al-Muhammadi arrived today to the Salah al-Din operations sector on a visit aimed at assessing the security situation and inspecting the holding points within the area of responsibility." The Border Forces Command has commenced deployment to secure the overland pilgrimage route.
