Italy's Quartet Faces Suspension Threat

Four Italian players are at risk of suspension before the final group match against Croatia in the UEFA European Championship (Euro 2024). According to "Football Italia," published today, the four players received yellow cards, with Riccardo Calafiori and Lorenzo Pellegrini receiving two warnings in the opening match against Albania (2-1). This also applies to goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma and midfielder Bryan Cristante during the defeat (1-0) against Spain. Any of these players will face suspension for the Round of 16 match if they receive a yellow card against Croatia and the Azzurri qualify. If the Italian team progresses to the knockout stages, these four players will still be at risk of suspension as yellow cards are not cleared from players' records until after the quarter-finals.
