A Spanish sports report stated today, Saturday, that Real Madrid has devised a plan to reacquire Moroccan international Achraf Hakimi. The right-back is contracted with Paris Saint-Germain until the summer of 2026. According to the Spanish newspaper "AS," Real Madrid will renew Dani Carvajal's contract until the summer of 2026, noting that his current contract ends after the 2025 season. The report added that Real Madrid aims to sign Hakimi on a free transfer by the summer of 2026 to succeed Carvajal. Hakimi is a close friend of French star Kylian Mbappe, who recently joined Real Madrid this summer on a free transfer. Hakimi previously played in Real Madrid's youth system before moving on loan to Borussia Dortmund and then permanently to Inter, before leaving for Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2021.
